Lead Vehicle Acquisition Specialist
The Lead Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will lead, direct, and train Vehicle Acquisition Specialist teams to acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside of the Auto Nation Customer Network.
Utilize all available prospecting resources—including third‑party websites, lead sources, service drive traffic, and other means—to identify and engage private parties looking to sell vehicles.
- Direct and lead the Vehicle Acquisition Specialists through the WBYC BPMS Process.
- Provide feedback on hiring and performance management of all Vehicle Acquisition Specialists.
- Coach and mentor all Vehicle Acquisition Specialists.
- Ensure goal‑achievement standards are met by associates and overall dealership performance.
- Engage in Vehicle Acquisition Specialist duties as necessary, leading by example.
- Review vehicle condition reports and determine wholesale and retail prices.
- Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite.
- Create and execute reconditioning plans to prepare vehicles for sale.
- Make offers on vehicles and close sales using sound judgment, research, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Drive incremental business through a high level of engagement with customers.
- Turn prospective vehicle procurement customers to an “elite” sales team for sales opportunities.
- Work with management to identify and allocate current inventory needs.
- 3–4 years of dealership and/or team leadership experience (preferred).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Extremely self‑motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Strong communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive an exceptional customer experience.
- Excellent organization and follow‑up skills.
- Experience and desire to work with technology.
- Valid in‑state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Compensation and BenefitsThe role is commission‑based with an average monthly income of $2–7k.
