Supervisor of Security Officers

Essential functions include supervising security officers, ensuring post orders are followed, coaching and disciplining personnel, training security officers, assisting in payroll submissions, ensuring adequate post coverage, preparing and submitting reports, inspecting posts, meeting with client representatives, performing supervisory duties, and occasionally performing security officer duties.

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.

May be required to hold and meet state, county, and municipal licenses for security officers. Knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices, ability to provide direction and motivate performance, understanding of security devices, ability to learn and carry out instructions, ability to track schedule assignments, ability to be an effective team member, ability to maintain professional composure, courteous telephone manner, ability to adapt to various sites and changes, ability to write routine correspondence, good organizational skills, strong customer service and results orientation, strong interpersonal skills.

Requires physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. Includes maintaining composure under pressure, exposure to stressful situations, undergoing background and reference checks, directing and disciplining staff, working overtime, handling multiple tasks, keyboarding and computer usage, clear communication, frequent sitting, standing, and walking, occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, lifting up to 25 pounds, close and distance vision, regular vehicle use, performing stressful and physical activity, exposure to inclement weather, handling sensitive and confidential information.
