Description

The OSP Locator position at involves the critical responsibility of locating the directional drill's path for the installation of innerduct in underground fiber optic construction. This role is essential for ensuring that the installation process is executed smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operator of Directional Drills, providing support and expertise in the field. The position requires a hands-on approach, as the individual will assist with the on-site installation of underground fiber optic cables, which includes preparing entry and exit pits, potholing existing utilities when necessary, and assisting with tie-ins on conduit.

Ability to locate and steer drill head for drill rig operator

At least 2 years of HDD locating experience

Knowledge in F-2, F-5, and Falcon Series Locating Equipment

Work under pressure within project deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
