Construction Laborer (Morning Shift)
This role supports a large-scale industrial construction project, focusing on rigging, anchoring, and general construction labor. You will work in a highly physical, hands-on environment, using power and hand tools to help move, align, level, and anchor heavy industrial machinery while maintaining strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with rigging and transport activities, including setting up and testing rigging lines, pulleys, hoists, and pulling gear for heavy equipment.
- Support precise alignment, leveling, and anchoring of heavy industrial machinery according to project specifications.
- Attach loads to rigging and clearly signal or direct equipment operators to ensure safe lifting and movement.
- Clean and prepare work sites by removing debris, laying bracing, erecting scaffolding, and building support forms.
- Operate and handle a variety of hand and power tools such as jackhammers, laser levels, and skid steers as directed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and the team.
- Work effectively with a large crew to complete tasks on schedule and support other team members as needed.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, carrying, climbing, and working in active construction areas.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of construction experience, preferably in commercial construction, concrete, or general labor.
- Proficiency using power tools, including but not limited to drills, jackhammers, and other construction-related equipment.
- Proficiency using hand tools commonly used in construction environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools and equipment quickly.
- Ability to frequently lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, climb, and balance for extended periods in an active construction environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and in confined or high-noise spaces.
- Strong focus on safety protocols and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED is generally preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in millwright work or industrial machinery installation is a strong plus.
- Experience with rigging and anchoring heavy equipment is highly beneficial.
- Experience with crating and preparing equipment for transport is a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar material-handling equipment is advantageous.
- Previous experience on large industrial or commercial job sites is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
You will work as part of a large, collaborative team on an active industrial construction site. Morning shifts are available Monday through Sunday, including 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for anchoring laborers and 10-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for tech laborers. The environment is physically demanding and fast-paced, with frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, varying weather, high-noise areas, and confined spaces.
You will regularly use construction tools and equipment such as power tools, hand tools, rigging gear, jackhammers, laser levels, skid steers, and forklifts. Steel-toe boots and a hard hat are required as part of the jobsite attire, and additional personal protective equipment may be required depending on tasks. The site operates with a strong safety culture and clear protocols to support safe, efficient work.

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
