Job SummaryResponsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of the Company’s line of services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. Is provided a company vehicle and tools and travels to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties. Performs preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and general service of buildings, equipment and grounds. Conducts face‑to‑face relationships with customers to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment.
Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and additional skills as needed to solve maintenance problems.
Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Self‑performs the following duties in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems such as repair and unclog toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies, toilet and faucet fixtures, and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits.
- Performs routine painting, carpentry work, general maintenance, etc., as necessary to maintain facilities in like new condition (e.g., repair a hole in drywall, prep the area, and match the paint).
- Repairs and routine maintenance of walls, floors, doors and any painting and touch‑up work necessary for beautification of customers’ facilities.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g., repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, outlets; replace light bulbs, ballasts and sockets).
Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
Fully Utilizes Technology (Tablet, Smartphone)- Access and complete work orders including notes on services provided.
- Create and submit service reports and quality inspection images and reports.
- Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
- Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
Creates a positive climate with the client, provides and generates customer satisfaction, and maintains timely and consistent communications with customer and internal support teams. Obtains and completes EFS required safety and compliance training and attends weekly safety meetings. Provides estimates for larger projects and services needed on‑site.
Qualifications EducationHS diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care, preferred.
Business ExperienceTwo to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Background in commercial services highly preferred.
Licenses/CertificationsMust possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend instructions including safety policies and operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
TechnicalQualifications & Skills
Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status via designated business processes. Must be able to use handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
