Facilities Maintenance Technician

Join one of the world's largest and most innovative automated vehicle manufacturers as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. We're looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep a large, modern office and lab campus running smoothly. If you're the type of person who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing problems, and working with your hands, this could be a great fit.
You'll support everything from plumbing and lighting repairs to door hardware, HVAC troubleshooting, and general building maintenance in a fast-paced, high-tech environment focused on innovation and robotics.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are exactly the same. You may find yourself:
- Troubleshooting and repairing doors, locks, and hardware
- Fixing sinks, restrooms, leaks, and other plumbing issues
- Replacing light fixtures and handling basic electrical repairs
- Performing basic HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Painting, patching drywall, and completing minor carpentry projects
- Responding to maintenance requests across multiple buildings
- Ordering and tracking maintenance supplies and materials
- Supporting preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Communicating updates and priorities with building occupants and stakeholders
- Traveling between office and lab spaces using a golf cart
What We're Looking For
Required- 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across a variety of building systems
- Experience with:
- Plumbing repairs
- Lighting and basic electrical work
- Basic HVAC maintenance
- Painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work throughout the day
Note: Candidates with only residential or apartment maintenance experience will not be considered.
Nice to Have- Experience working in laboratory environments
- Experience in robotics, technology, manufacturing, or other high-tech facilities
- Inventory or materials management experience
- Flexibility to support occasional weekend coverage
The Environment
You'll be working in a large, modern facility that includes both office and lab spaces filled with advanced equipment and technology. The environment is busy, collaborative, and focused on keeping operations running safely and efficiently.
This role may include:
- Traveling between buildings throughout the day
- Working around technical and laboratory equipment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
