Job SummaryThe Information System Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting internal Windows-based applications and system tools used in manufacturing and logistics operations. This role involves implementing customized features, optimizing database functionality, and driving technical improvements. The Information System Engineer will have frontend and backend coding experience. The Information System Engineer will have project management experience.
This position is part of the Information Technology Engineering (ITE) team. The team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting internal software systems to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of manufacturing and logistics processes. Their work enables development, testing, and deployment of high-quality applications. The team also delivers database solutions, integrates systems, and improves operational workflows.
Duties/Responsibilities- Develop and maintain internal Windows-based applications tailored to manufacturing and logistics.
- Customize software tools sourced from headquarters to align with requirements.
- Develop SQL stored procedures, queries, and functions to support data access, reporting, and system performance.
- Independently troubleshoot system issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Provide input on system design and architecture.
- Create user documentation; conduct training for end users when deploying new or updated systems.
- Provide technical support for shop-floor operations, logistics systems, SAP/labeling tools, and software tools.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: .NET, C#, Java, Python, or PHP.
- 3+ years in SQL skills, including the development and optimization of stored procedures and queries.
- 3+ years in database design and data processing.
- 3+ years of Front-end coding.
- 3+ years of Back-end coding.
- Debugging capabilities in software and system contexts.
- 1+ year of Project Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting internal systems in manufacturing, operations, or logistics environments is preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to access and navigate various departments within the organization’s facilities.
