The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

Join Lam as an AI/ML Engineer, where you will design, develop, and program methods to analyze unstructured and diverse big data and transform it into actionable insights. You will develop algorithms and automated processes to evaluate large data sets from disparate sources. Your expertise in generating, interpreting, and clearly communicating actionable insights enables Lam to make informed, data-driven decisions.

• Work with various stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and customers to identify product requirements.
• Design the backend architecture using domain-driven design principles. Involve SMEs in the design loop to ensure domain accuracy and relevance.
• Write and execute tests, and debug issues in both front-end and back-end code.
• Set up environments, automate deployments, monitor performance, and perform regular updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to develop productivity products.

• Ph.D with 3+ years of experience with a degree in Data Science, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with mathematical modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as SQLite, MySQL, or Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and C++.
• Product Development, hardware design, and productivity.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Experience with domain-driven design and test-driven development.
• Familiarity with software development best practices in team settings, including version control (Git), documentation, and unit testing.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.

Virtual Flex you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
