What to Expect
This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue through the fall term (approximately December 2026) or continuing into Winter/Spring 2027 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full‑time (40 hours per week) and on‑site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.
Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full‑time positions, not internships.
International students:
If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on‑site. Many students will be limited to part‑time during the academic year.

Join our team and contribute to the unique challenges of maintaining a fleet of autonomous vehicles. As a Software Integration Engineer Intern, you will support the development of software that powers the advanced hardware and automated systems our technicians rely on every day.
What You’ll Do- Assist in the design and development of software solutions for service tooling equipment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate software with various hardware, automation systems, and other components.
- Contribute to projects that advance the team’s ability to create more integrated and intelligent systems.
- Write clean, well‑documented code and help create technical documentation and diagrams.
- Participate in hands‑on testing and debugging of your code in collaboration with expert engineering and service technicians.
- Support the development of software and automation systems for all vehicle platforms in service centers worldwide.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, C++, or SQL through coursework or personal projects.
- A foundational understanding of software development principles, including data structures and algorithms.
- A strong desire to learn and hands‑on approach to solving problems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills rooted in first‑principles thinking.
- Previous internship experience or involvement in student projects (e.g., Robotics Club, coding competitions) preferred.
- An interest in automation, robotics, or machine learning preferred.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and design patterns preferred.
- Exposure to hardware integration or embedded systems preferred.

Expected compensation: $31.25–$50.48 per hour + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
