We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled software engineer to join the Questa Sim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge algorithms and software design/architecture for industry‑leading simulation tools. You'll contribute to the development and enhancement of production‑quality components, algorithms, and engines while supporting and improving existing codebases. Working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment alongside senior engineers, you'll solve complex software problems and apply your technical expertise to achieve project milestones and deliver high‑quality software solutions.

• Develop cutting‑edge algorithms and software design/architecture for industry‑leading simulation tools
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of production‑quality components, algorithms, and engines while supporting and improving existing codebases
• Solve complex software problems in collaboration with a senior group of engineers in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
• Apply your technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and analytical thinking to achieve project milestones and deliver high‑quality software solutions
• Stay self‑motivated, disciplined, and focused on achieving personal and team goals
• Conceptualize, define, architect, and implement solutions for open‑ended problem scopes and new ideas

Required

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
• 1-3 years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and algorithms
• Expertise in compiler concepts and optimizations
• Experience working on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results

• Basic knowledge of digital electronics and concepts related to System Verilog, Verilog, and VHDL
• Familiarity with parallel algorithms and job distribution techniques
• Exposure to simulation or formal-based verification methodologies

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
