We are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

This role willreportto Senior Manager, Metrology and Data Analytics and based in Fremont, CA.This is a fully on-site, in officerole5 days a week
.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions that support manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain curated datasets and data products that enable reliable reporting, visualization, and self-service analytics.
• Develop software and automation tools in support of manufacturing operations, engineering workflows, and data collection systems.
• Develop and support MES and manufacturing software solutions, including Ignition Perspective screens, custom functionality, and system integrations, in collaboration with IT and external system integrators.
• Design and implement solutions for storing, visualizing, and analyzing metrology and image-based inspection data.
• Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing, documentation, and code review.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• Expert proficiency in Python for software development, automation, and data processing.
• Expert proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience designing and supporting production data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and Quick Sight.
• Experience with Ignition and Sepasoft MES platforms.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead the technical execution of complex, cross-functional projects from requirements through deployment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred:

• Experience with manufacturing, quality, metrology, or industrial automation systems.
• Experience with modern data transformation and data modeling tools such as dbt.
• Experience working with image data, computer vision, or image analysis applications.
• Experience developing web-based applications, dashboards, or user interfaces.
