Position: Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Fremont, CA – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Weekly pay of $1,650 or more
  • Hourly rate: $30.00
  • Hours per week: 40 – 60
  • Paid training provided
  • Schedule:

    Monday – Friday
  • Dispatch time: 1:00 AM – 4:00 AM

Driving Duties

  • Deliver solo to CA – Bay Area
  • Local home daily routes
  • Day cab tractor type
  • Trailer types:
    Dry Van 28', 48', 53'
  • Equipment:
    Manual pallet jack
  • Ryder will train on all equipment needed for success
  • Freight:
    Touch – office supplies

Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements
  • Class A tractor‑trailer driving experience:
    • 9 months within the past 3 years, or
    • 2 years within the last 5 years, or
    • 5 years within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight and assist with freight handling as required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
