Main Purpose of Job
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk Level II is responsible for preparing and maintaining shipping and receiving documentation, and for moving inventory to and from warehouse locations as needed.
MainJob Responsibilities
- GENERAL: safely handling materials and products, using equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to transport items within the warehouse, and ensuring that products are located properly. Needs to be aware of the needs for shipping, receiving, and production to support properly.
- SHIPPING: accurately selecting and gathering goods from storage, packaging them properly, and preparing them for shipment. Prepares Pick List, Packing List, and Certificate of Conformance and additional shipping documentation as required. Arranges carrier and prepares goods for shipment. Forwards appropriate paperwork to Accounting.
- RECEIVING: loading/unloading goods; creates labels for incoming raw materials and purchased components; notifies requesters of goods received; forwards appropriate paperwork to Accounting.
- INVENTORY CONTROL: performs periodic cycle counts of finished goods and assembly component inventory; performs physical inventory of all materials and components as required; maintains and updates the Inventory Results spreadsheet.
- WAREHOUSE: inspects warehouse location identifiers, reprints or replaces labels that are damaged or missing; maintains an organized and clean warehouse; safely operates materialhandling equipment to move, stack, and transport goods within the warehouse; maintains the dock free or with enough space for loading/unloading of material; assists material handlers when needed.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., engage in extensive walking and unloading, and perform bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, and squatting during the course of the shift.
Qualifications- Experience:
3 years of shipping/receiving experience. - Specialized Knowledge:
Forklift experience – certified. - Inventory management:
Experience using ERP systems. - Knowledge of barcode scanning technology.
- Good communication skills to arrange pickup and shipments.
We offer market‑competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $30‑$34 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
