Material Handler

Join Hope Services, a leader in developmental disability services in the Bay Area, as a Material Handler. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the physical resources necessary for our diverse programs, including job training, assisted living support, and therapy sessions. You will be responsible for the efficient handling and organization of supplies and equipment that support the daily operations and directly impact the quality of service we provide to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within established guidelines
• Coordinate with departmental heads to ensure supplies meet the needs of various programs
• Maintain inventory control, including periodic audits and preparing purchase requisitions for materials low in stock
• Ensure the care and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities
• Assist in the preparation of shipments and the scheduling of distribution to multiple service locations
• Follow systematic storage procedures and safety regulations to maintain an organized warehouse

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in inventory software
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs
• Basic mathematical skills for managing inventory
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts
