Warehouse Inbound/Outbound Logistics Specialist

Shift: Day Shift (8-Hour Shifts, Monday - Friday)
Job Type: Full-Time
The Warehouse Inbound/Outbound Logistics Specialist serves as the critical first point of contact for all inbound and outbound shipments at our Fremont, NE, manufacturing plant.
This role is responsible for executing and coordinating daily inbound/outbound operations, managing raw goods warehousing, overseeing dock door flow, and handling vital logistics system data. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory is accurately received, inspected, documented, and safely stored in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) while maintaining the highest safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Inbound/Outbound Operations
Shipment Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for carrier drivers. Monitor and operate the receiving window, office phone system, and inbound/outbound security gates.
Safely unload inbound shipments from carrier partners and suppliers.
Verification & Inspection:Verify incoming product codes, quantities, and critical shipment documentation against purchase orders. Inspect all goods for quality discrepancies, shortages, or transit damage.
System Data Entry:Accurately record all receipts, inventory movements, and shipping confirmations in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including I-Track, RCLMS, and ITMS logistics platforms.
Inventory Control:Label, scan, sort, and stage inventory for proper put-away. Adhere strictly to FIFO/FEFO (First-In, First-Out / First-Expired, First-Out) inventory rotation protocols.
Administrative Operations:Manage load tendering, dock door schedules, and complete invoicing updates promptly as orders are picked up.
Teamwork, Communication & LeadershipCross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate closely with purchasing, transportation, inventory control, and shift leads to resolve receiving discrepancies and delay challenges.
Carrier Relations:Maintain clear, ongoing communication with affiliate carriers and customer care teams to maximize service reliability.
Operational Support:Act as a dependable backup for the Warehouse Lead. Support managers and shift leads across all shifts with daily tasks, reporting, and problem-solving.
Safety & Quality Compliance- Safety First: Actively follow all plant safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse receiving office and dock environment.

Qualifications & ExperienceRequired
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Technical
Skills:
Basic computer competency and experience using digital systems (e.g., inventory databases or email). - Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move materials safely up to 50 lbs, in accordance with facility safety standards.
- Core
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and robust interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to resolve minor conflicts or driver discrepancies constructively.
- Industry
Experience:
1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material-handling logistics. - Systems
Competency:
Hands-on experience with commercial Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF barcode scanners. - Equipment Proficiency: Certified forklift operator or experience operating standard warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, reach trucks).
- Documentation: Proven capability to read and audit complex purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.

- On-Time Processing: Meeting inbound processing and unloading time windows.
- Inventory & Cycle Count Accuracy: Maintenance of high physical-to-system inventory reconciliation.
