Assistant Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role will play a key part in month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly reporting for the parent company and coordinate tax filings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and Board presentations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist with audits and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support AP, AR, payroll, and other accounting functions as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
• Support and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
