Tire And Lube Technician

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Tire and Lube Technician will change a vehicle's oil and filter. Check and fill fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Tire and Lube Technician Responsibilities:

• Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
• Inspecting the engine block and under body for leaks and potential issues
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
• Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
• Identifying existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles' issues
• Mounting and balancing of tires, performing tire repairs

Tire and Lube Technician Requirements:

• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow processes and follow safety guidelines
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
