Assistant​/Associate Professor of Education

## Qualifications Midland University, a private, liberal arts institution in Fremont, Nebraska is seeking a dynamic and innovative faculty member for a full-time, 12-month faculty position as Assistant/Associate professor.

Duties include:

● Primary teaching responsibilities include courses in elementary pedagogy, content or core education courses to include some evening courses at the Midland Omaha location for Para Educators in the undergraduate program, Fremont in-person courses, and online courses.
● Coordination of the in-person Teacher Career Ladder Program including:
· Support adjunct instructors who teach in the program.
· Develop and audit course syllabi and Canvas courses.
· Provide professional development opportunities for adjunct instructors.
· Coordinate informational sessions and orientations for districts and students.
· Mentor students through the program.
● Engage in Scholarship  
● Provide service to the Walker School of Education and Midland University.  
● Work to continuously improve within the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service.

Qualifications:

● A Master’s Degree in Education and a Nebraska Teaching Certificate is required, along with a teaching endorsement; doctorate preferred.
● Demonstrated excellence in teaching in a K-6 classroom.
● Demonstrated excellence in teaching in a college or adult development setting.
● Evidence of innovative thinking and action.
● Strong ability to communicate, organize and problem solve.
● Passion for developing students as professionals.
