-4:30 p.m., approximately 40 hours per week, with additional evening and weekend responsibilities as needed. As essential personnel, the RLC serves a critical role in supporting students and campus operations.

Position Summary
The Residence Life Coordinator is a live-in professional staff member responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential community that supports student growth, belonging, and success.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Life, the RLC provides leadership for residence hall operations, student staff supervision, crisis response, student conduct, and community development initiatives. This position plays an essential role in advancing the mission of Student Life through intentional relationship-building, student support, and residential engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Staff Supervision & Development
* Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of Resident Advisors (RAs)
* Provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and professional development for student staff
* Facilitate regular staff meetings, one-on-ones, and training initiatives
Community Development & Student Engagement
* Foster a vibrant residential experience through educational, social, and belonging-focused programming
* Support community-building efforts that enhance student connection and retention
* Facilitate hall meetings and proactive student outreach
Student Support, Conduct & Crisis Response
* Address student conduct matters and behavioral concerns in accordance with university policy
* Respond to student crises, conflicts, and emergencies with sound judgment and care
* Participate in an on-call rotation providing after-hours response and support
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
* Assist with housing operations including occupancy management, room assignments, and facility concerns
* Manage administrative processes such as reports, work orders, and budget tracking
* Support departmental assessment, planning, and committee work
Collaboration & Campus Partnership
* Partner with campus departments to support student well-being and success
* Collaborate with colleagues across Student Life to advance divisional priorities
* Promote an environment of inclusion, respect, and residential belonging
