Salary:
- $17.67 - $19.51 starting per hour depending on experience
- If bilingual: $19.51 - $21.54 starting per hour depending on experience

- Post Secondary training is desired
Certification/Licensure:
- Drivers License
- First Aid/CPR certificate desired

- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of basic reading and math skills
REPORTS TO: Teacher(s), Building Administrator, and Director of Support Services
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential functions of each employee’s position includes (1) regular, dependable in‑person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.
Basic:
- Perform classroom support duties under the supervision and guidance of classroom teachers and therapists including, but not limited to, feeding, toileting, transferring, positioning, and other personal care needs when applicable. Assist with physical and occupational therapy for students under the supervision and/or direction of Occupational Therapist and/or Physical Therapist. Abides by the guidelines established for Paraeducators of the State of Nebraska and the School District.
Frequent:
- Demonstrates the ability and willingness to perform and fulfill assigned duties as designated by the supervising teacher and/or therapist.
- Assists the supervising teacher/therapist in the collection and preparation of instructional material and equipment.
