Job Summary

The BIM Manager is a hybrid position reporting to the Director of Design. The role requires daily BIM modeling and coordination, development and maintenance of Revit standards, families, project templates, workflows, and procedures. The BIM Manager also supports traditional 2D CAD work as needed and supports corporate objectives by delivering high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed models and drawings in 2D and 3D drafting programs (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM
    360, Navisworks) for structured cabling, outside plant, audio‑visual, security, DAS, and other low‑voltage disciplines.
  • Assist the Director of Design to develop and maintain BIM/AutoCAD standards, processes, libraries, families, and templates.
  • Lead and supervise modeling and documentation on projects.
  • Schedule and assign work to meet project deliverables and dates.
  • Clean and purge background drawings/models for use in PTI models.
  • Create models incorporating all appropriate trade models.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators and detailers.
  • Supervise and back‑check others’ work for accuracy before passing it on to the project team.
  • Recommend BIM/AutoCAD program enhancements, software, training, and hardware to the Director of Design and VDC Manager.
  • Provide 3‑D renderings of conference rooms, data centers, and IDF/MDF rooms for customer proposal packages.
  • Develop the BIM Manager’s knowledge base of BIM and the technologies and systems Paladin installs.
  • Attend BIM coordination meetings and work with architectural firms, developers, MEP consultants, and trade modelers following project guides.
  • Review and understand each project’s Design Intent, BIM Execution Plan, and/or Project Execution Plan.
  • Perform electronic takeoffs using Autodesk applications or Bluebeam Revu.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, approachability, teamwork, adaptability, creativity, problem‑solving, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to train others.
  • Maintain skills in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM
    360, ACC, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Perform other miscellaneous design, drafting, modeling, or office tasks as directed by the Design Director.
  • Ensure timely and complete submittals in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan and Design Schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high‑quality standards.
