Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

ABOUT US

Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership (NENCAP), INC is a private, non‑profit corporation serving an income‑eligible population in a 14‑county area of Northeast Nebraska. Programs include Head Start, Early Head Start, WIC/Immunizations, Healthy Families, Weatherization, Family Services, free tax preparation, car seat programs, Veteran Services, Commodity Supplemental Food Program, and food pantries.

JOB SUMMARY
  • Provide training to staff on program procedures and safety practices to ensure compliance.
  • Complete vision and hearing screenings as needed.
  • Oversee the compliance of health services, analyzing, entering, and monitoring health data, and ensuring individual health plans are in place and implemented.
  • Coordinate Mental Health & Health Advisory committee and provide information and training as needed.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly Early Childhood Leadership meetings and provide and participate in on‑site and program training.
  • Maintain relationships and collaborate with the medical and dental communities and other community health agencies and partners.
  • Coordinate with the agency‑contracted nurse to schedule health procedures as needed.
  • Complete kitchen inspections and playground safety inspections at each site annually.
  • Track and schedule CPR/Safe With You trainings as required by Early Childhood staff.
  • Work with and be part of the agency’s Safety Committee to complete yearly safety inspections and ensure safe work environments are being met.
  • Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds; basic computer skills required.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Maintain confidentiality of program participants and follow program and agency standards and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

A bachelor’s or advanced degree in health, family and/or child services or a related field with experience is required, plus 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Must be or have the ability to become a First Aid/CPR trainer & Safe with You trainer.
WAGE & BENEFITS

Starting wage is $22.00 per hour, plus benefits. Wage may increase with education and experience.
