JOB DESCRIPTIONDan Osborn for U.S. Senate is hiring a Deputy Finance Director to assist in overseeing finance and fundraising operations in what will be one of the closely-watched races in the country. The ideal candidate will have experience raising money for a federal campaign, be highly organized, and bring a creative, strategic approach to grassroots and major donor fundraising. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Finance Director in developing and implementing a detailed fundraising plan
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly fundraising goals
- Organizing and staffing candidate call time, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Drafting fundraising materials, including event invitations, direct mail, and online appeals
- Planning and executing fundraising events, recruiting hosts, and managing finance committees
- Expanding the donor base through strategic research and outreach
- Hiring, training, and overseeing finance team staff, volunteers, and consultants
- Managing the fundraising events calendar and coordinating the candidate's finance schedule
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on fundraising performance metrics
- Fostering a high-energy, innovative fundraising culture
- Overseeing daily donation processing, deposits, and data entry
- Ensuring all campaign fundraising activities comply with FEC regulations
- Reviewing and approving FEC reports prior to submission.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience raising money for a federal campaign.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in NGP, Act Blue, Excel, and other campaign finance software.
- Willingness to work a campaign schedule, including some travel and irregular hours.
- Experience managing a statewide campaign finance program;
- Detail-oriented and focused; enthusiastic about politics.
This is a full-time, in-person position in Nebraska that will end when the campaign concludes in November 2026. You will collaborate with colleagues who are based across Nebraska. Campaign hours are expected of any successful candidate.
This is a salaried position that will be compensated between $6,000 - $7,000 per month, based on experience. Moving expenses will be reimbursed for candidates from outside of Nebraska.
