Estimator & Procurement Manager

We have an exciting new role for an Estimator & Procurement Manager.

• Estimating: Effectively communicate with sales and customers on proposals, quotations, and projects. Manage the queue of projects to be quoted in Fulcrum and prioritize accordingly. Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects using a combination of experience, previous project data, excel and Fulcrum tools, and collaboration with shop and office team members. Use creativity, problem-solving, and team collaboration to create and estimate solutions to customer unique challenges.
• Procurement: Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services to meet production schedules. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitive pricing. Monitor supplier performance and address issues such as delays, quality concerns, or cost fluctuations. Optimize purchasing strategies to reduce lead times and support inventory management goals. Review material availability and proactively identify supply risks.
• Production Support | Additional Responsibilities: Assist Production Manager with setting up shop jobs for success in Fulcrum (BOM/Routing). Assist with project management of larger projects you are involved in by facilitating good communication and flow of information as project works through the design, procurement, routing and shop processes. Establish a culture of open communication and innovative problem-solving with a positive attitude.
  
  May have other duties assigned or required.

• Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a role such as Manufacturing Estimator, Project Estimator, Estimator / Buyer, Fabrication Estimator, Estimating & Procurement Manager, or similar role. Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or industrial estimating/sales required.
• Skills: Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in reading, analyzing, and understanding technical specifications, drawing, bills of material, and process specifications, quality documentation, and associated documentation. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Technology proficiency, including using a computer, tablet, Microsoft Office Suite, and managing files and records electronically.
  
  Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing processes and procedures. Able to use basic measuring tools. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems; experience with Fulcrum is a plus.
• Ability:
  This position is onsite at our Fremont, NE location. A drug screen and background check are required. Additionally, the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required.
