Structural Component Systems, Inc. of Fremont, NE is actively seeking full‑time Forklift Operators to serve as Yard Assistants outside our warehouse/plant. These logistics positions work Monday through Friday (1st and 2nd Shift) or Sunday evening through Friday morning (3rd Shift) with no weekends starting at $20‑22/hr shift with an increase every 6 months, based on performance. NO FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE needed except for loader positions.

Higher starting pay for highly experienced forklift operators.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A YARD ASSISTANT

This position is responsible for yard support of the entire facility. Responsible for disposing of culled items, picking up banding and debris in the yard, processing mis‑built or returned items with chain saw and miscellaneous and special projects as deemed by the warehouse manager/shift lead. This person will be assigned areas of responsibility and is responsible for the neat organization and cleanliness of these areas.

  • Efficiently organizes and maintains the exterior lots and inside buildings.
  • Performs as a backup for other material handlers.
  • Assists in other warehouse functions as needed.
  • Ensures all work is performed safely.
  • Works in other areas or projects in the absence of work.

Note:

Shift Schedule

1st and 2nd shifts are Monday - Friday with NO WEEKENDS

1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:15 PM -- Starting Pay $20/Hour

2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:15 PM -- Starting Pay $22/Hour

3rd shifts is Sunday - Thursday with NO WEEKENDS

3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:15 AM -- Starting Pay $22/Hour

Minimum

Job Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds at one time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must be detail oriented and precise.
  • Operate forklift to support job functions.
  • Ability to operate a chain saw.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and write, and comprehend English.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass drug test.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Warehouse experience helpful but not necessary.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Outdoors 100% of the time, all weather.
  • Safe lifting of up to 75 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and write English preferred but not required.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer experience (Not required, but must be trainable).
  • Warehouse experience.
