Operations Technician

• High School diploma or GED degree or related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with CDL, or have the ability to obtain.
• Experience with agriculture, farm equipment, and mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred.

• Assist in the unloading and loading of grain commodities.
• Open and close traps of semi-trailers using hand cranks and lift gates on occasional straight trucks.
• Transfer grain using a skid loader, pay loader or other similar equipment.
• Weigh or measure materials using scales or other measuring devices; sample, test and maintain grain quality.
• Perform facility housekeeping.
• Perform both preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Observe conveyor operations and monitor lights, dials and gauges to maintain specific operating levels and detect equipment malfunctions.
• Listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Inform supervisors of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
• Perform all job tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with approved procedures, specifically those related to grain elevator operations according to Country Partners Health & Safety Policy.
• Provide courteous and responsive customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Load/unload, deliver grain and agronomy products to customers and other locations, utilizing class A CDL.
• Operate skid‑steer loader, forklift and liquid fertilizer blending and loading/unloading equipment.
• Accurately load trucks/application equipment with products used by company’s applicators.
• Calculate figures and amounts such as liquid and dry conversions to different units of measure, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
