Role Description

The Slip Ring Assembly Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, NE. This role is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing slip ring assemblies and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly, performing soldering and electrical connections, inspecting parts and finished assemblies, and documenting work performed.

The technician collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area. This position may also involve assisting with continuous improvement activities and supporting on-time delivery commitments.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly work.
  • Experience with soldering and basic electrical connections in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills in mechanical assembly, including reading and following drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of quality control practices, including visual inspection, measurement, and documentation of results.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, mechanics, or related field is beneficial.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform manual tasks safely over the course of a shift, following all safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to producing reliable, high-quality assemblies.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing team environment.
