Assistant Director of Marketing

Reports to the Senior Assistant Director of Marketing. This role is within the Academic Services & Enrollment Management (ASEM) division, supporting units such as Office of Admissions, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, New Student Enrollment, University Registrar, and the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy.

Responsibilities
  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for recruitment print publications, emails, letters, and websites.
  • Coordinate project management of ASEM marketing projects from conception to delivery, including print and digital assets (email, SMS, web, visuals).
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Run weekly status meetings with the creative team and production vendors.
  • Collaborate with ASEM staff to execute marketing tactics that support ASEM initiatives.
  • Act as liaison between marketing team project stakeholders within ASEM and across campus partners.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in marketing, public relations, advertising sales, or a related field, and/or recruitment experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Copywriting and promotional writing experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Year of experience in an advertising/marketing agency or in-house corporate environment.
  • Experience with youth and/or non‑traditional student marketing.
  • Knowledge of student recruitment in higher education.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems.
