Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges.
Responsibilities- Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently—or could become—leaders in their local communities, as elected officials or citizen organizers, and motivate them to advocate for change.
- Equip these local leaders to advocate for changes consistent with AFP’s principles, connecting them to training and other resources.
- Organize events where you and other activists engage the public through phone calls, social media, and face‑to‑face neighborhood outreach; innovate with unique methods to reach people on public policy issues and initiatives.
- Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
- Manage part‑time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
- Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with individuals from all walks of life.
- Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
- Self‑motivation and strong time‑management skills to accomplish objectives.
- Organizational skills to keep multiple events and activities on track.
- Team‑player: works well with AFP staff and the activists you engage.
- Willingness to canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls, and coordinate volunteers for AFP priority initiatives and endorsed candidates.
- Valid driver’s license (travel may be required).
- Flexible, working evenings and weekends as needed.
- Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Enthusiasm for Stand Together’s vision and commitment to stewarding a culture that champions transformation, innovation, humility, and respect.
- Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
- Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.

Salary
: $55,000 – $65,000 per year. Actual amount may vary based on experience, skills, and location. Employees may participate in benefits programs subject to eligibility criteria defined by the Summary Plan Description.
