The Person al Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in supporting residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well‑being. This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality, person‑centered care in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to nursing leadership
- Assist with meal service, including set‑up and hydration support as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction
- Follow individualized care plans and document care provided accurately and timely
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Previous caregiving experience preferred (assisted living, home health, or long‑term care)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to reposition residents
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
