Description
Location: Cherry County Hospital & Clinic – Valentine, NE 69201
Compensation: Starting at $40.84- $44.96 (based on experience)
Status: Full-Time

Join Our Team – Oncology Nurse (RN)Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This role provides specialized care to hematology and oncology patients, supporting them through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Position Highlights- Provide direct nursing care for oncology and hematology patients
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive cancer treatments
- Monitor patient response, manage side effects, and provide pain control support
- Assess and maintain venous access devices (ports, PICC lines, midlines)
- Perform phlebotomy and IV access procedures
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and available resources
- Support emotional and psychosocial needs of patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Current Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Oncology certification required or must be obtained within required timeframe
- Oncology nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and compassionate care skills

Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska
- Obtain (prior to May 1st, 2024) and maintain oncology certification
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Experience in oncology preferred
