Job Title: Entry-Level Sales & Government Contracts Manager
Location: Fremont, NE
Job Type: Full-Time (4-Day Work Week, Flexible Schedule)
TEK Services is seeking a driven, organized, and people-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Sales & Government Contracts Manager
. This role is primarily sales-focused
, with responsibilities spanning customer outreach, RFQ management, quoting, and business development
, while also supporting quality systems as part of our overall manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and working across technical and operational teams to win business. This position will spend the majority of time on sales and quoting activities
, including outreach, RFQs, and online manufacturing marketplaces, with secondary responsibilities supporting quality and compliance efforts.
Sales, Business Development & RFQ Management (Primary Focus)
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, inbound inquiries, and online platforms such as ,
SAM.gov
, and My Bid Match . - Conduct customer outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Review RFQs, drawings, and specifications to determine fit with company capabilities.
- Coordinate internally with engineering, production, and purchasing to develop accurate quotes, lead times, and cost estimates.
- Prepare and submit quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation for commercial and government customers.
- Track quotes, follow up with customers, and manage awarded jobs through initial launch.
- Maintain CRM, RFQ logs, and sales activity tracking to support forecasting and growth planning.
- Monitor and manage government contracting portals, registrations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with documentation, certifications, and reporting required for government contracts.
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and communication related to awarded contracts.
- Support day-to-day quality control activities as needed, including inspections and documentation.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Help prepare production areas, documentation, and processes to align with ISO 9001 standards.
- Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) efforts when quality issues arise.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Sales Aptitude: Comfortable with outreach, customer communication, and follow-up.
- Technical Awareness: Ability to review drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements (training provided).
- Organization: Strong ability to manage multiple RFQs, quotes, and customer timelines simultaneously.
- Communication: Confident written and verbal communicator with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Computer
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, CRM, or quoting platforms is a plus. - Mindset: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn manufacturing and government contracting processes.
- Split time between office work and the manufacturing floor.
- Comfortable engaging in hands-on review of parts, assemblies, and processes as needed.
