Overview

Per Mar Security, an industry leader in providing integrated security solutions, established in 1953 and the largest family‑owned full‑service security company in the Midwest with more than 2,600 team members, is seeking hardworking, motivated people. The company provides full‑service security solutions for homes and businesses, including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks.

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for Gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. This is a part‑time position, 1 day per week on Thursday evenings. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently, detail oriented, and have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet. Thursday $18.50/HR.

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high‑risk situations.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  State Security Officer License.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred).
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred).
