Overview
Hansen Tire & Truck Repair is looking for a Diesel Mechanic. Day Shift (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
Hansen Tire & Truck Repair, a subsidiary of North American Truck & Trailer, prides itself on an energetic atmosphere. We are always looking for great candidates to join our team.
Must have own tools; advanced training preferred but not required.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting and Diagnosing Issues:
Service technicians identify problems and malfunctions in equipment or systems, using diagnostic tools, technical knowledge, and problem‑solving skills to pinpoint root causes.
Repair and Maintenance:
Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks to restore equipment to working condition. This can involve replacing faulty components, performing software updates, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper calibration.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with customers to understand issues and provide updates on repair status. Effective communication and customer service skills are essential.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records for tracking repairs, maintenance schedules, parts used, and other relevant information.
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to prevent potential issues and extend equipment lifespan.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to customers on proper use and maintenance to avoid future problems.
Adhering to Safety Guidelines:
Follow safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety when working on equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
Participate in all available training programs
Service technicians can specialize in various industries and fields, such as:
Automotive:
Diagnose issues and perform repairs on cars, trucks, and other vehicles.Information Technology:
Provide technical support for computer systems, networks, and software.Medical Equipment:
Maintain and repair medical equipment used in healthcare settings.Industrial Equipment:
Service machinery and equipment used in manufacturing and construction.HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning):
Service and repair heating and cooling systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.Telecommunications:
Work on communication equipment such as cell towers and network infrastructure.
