Generation Project Manager
Position is located at the AMP Fremont Energy Center in Fremont, Ohio. This job is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days working from home).

Basic Functions:
Responsible for planning and coordinating projects for a power generation fleet, including combined-cycle plants, hydroelectric facilities, simple-cycle gas turbines, reciprocating engines, wind turbines, and photovoltaic solar facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Develops, budgets, manages, and executes power generation projects from initiation through closeout, with a focus on preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
- Defines work scopes and supports procurement activities, including preparing RFPs, reviewing contract terms and conditions, and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Oversees project performance to ensure compliance with specifications while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation and reporting, including inspection, testing, and commissioning reports, as well as applicable turnover records.
- Conceives, develops, designs and/or implements improvements at all AMP generation locations and oversees application of same to problems with generating operations.
- Solves problems associated with the design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions including batch software, DCS systems, HMI packages, and oversees the application of those control solutions.
- Maintains project documentation and reporting.
- Oversees long-term contracts with vendors and ensures the terms and conditions are followed.
- Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Delivers proper project turnover, including documentation, training, and lessons learned.
- Analyzes operation and maintenance problems and troubleshoots issues at all generating plants to determine effective solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, &
Qualifications:
- Must possess a minimum of a two (2) year technical degree and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the power generation industry or equivalent energy industry, including prior experience in equipment analysis or maintenance–related role. Other combinations of relevant education, skills, and experience may be considered with AMP review and approval.
- Must demonstrate a strong critical-path focus and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must demonstrate experience in Microsoft software, DCS systems, PLC systems, HMI software, GADs, and CMMS.
- Position requires professionalism, interpersonal effectiveness, and a cooperative attitude when working in a collaborative team environment.
- Position requires strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work assignments.
- Position requires a willingness to take on responsibility and address challenges as they arise.
- Must be willing to travel up to 30% annually as part of the job responsibilities.
