Research and Development Technician
The Research and Development Technician is responsible for providing support to an engineer in the execution of experiments, test date collection/processing, equipment maintenance, and technical problem solving.
Specific responsibilities include:
This position reports directly to the Research and Development Engineer.
Competencies include:

- Basic laboratory, mathematical and statistical analysis skills
- Mechanical aptitude
Desirable traits include:
Ability to work independently, eager to learn and grow continuously, effective communication, analytical thinking skills, and leadership attitude.
Education, training and experience requirements include:
- Two-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology or equivalent work experience
- 2 year of maintenance and calibration experience is preferred
- Experience with LOTO, high voltage and electrical principals
- Microsoft Office knowledge
Work environment/physical demands include standing/walking for 8-10 hours at a time, bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
