The Sisters of Mercy are seeking compassionate and dependable Nurse Assistants to join our caring team in Fremont, Ohio. We currently have both full-time and part-time shifts available

Position SummaryThe Nurse Assistant provides supportive, individualized care to retired Sisters of Mercy under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), in accordance with established care plans. This role focuses on daily personal care, comfort, safety, and emotional support.
You will be part of a close-knit team where your work is valued, your voice is heard, and your care makes a real difference every day.
Resident Care
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.
Provide medication reminders as directed by the RN.
Assist with exercises, braces, compression stockings, and adaptive equipment.
Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to the RN.
Personal Care & Environment
Help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces.
Make beds, change linens, and assist with personal laundry.
Escort residents to meals or provide meal trays as needed.
Ensure resident rooms are free of safety hazards.
Observation & Communication
Report resident needs, progress, and behaviors of concern to nursing staff.
Maintain accurate documentation related to care and observations.
Other Duties
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required depending on shift.
QualificationsRequired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Nurse Aide certification (or willingness to obtain, depending on state requirements).
At least 1 year of experience in a caregiving or healthcare-related role preferred.
Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience working with older adults or in a residential care setting.
Comfort working in a faith-based, mission-driven environment.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach to care.
Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
