2nd SHIFT - Corrugator Supervisor
Our Corrugator Supervisor directly supervises all employees assigned to the department on various shifts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities- Training employees.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Conflict resolution.
- Team-building, coaching and leading employees to improve.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation.
- Setting an example of professional behavior, attitude and performance.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Experience:
Five years of manufacturing experience; corrugated packaging is a plus. Strong, proven leadership qualities required. - Language:
Ability to read, understand and write English; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence. - Mathematical skills:
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate; apply concepts of high school math. - Reasoning skills:
Apply common sense to carry out instructions; deal with problems involving several variables in standard situations. - Computer:
Familiar with Microsoft Office products and software that tracks starch usage and updates quality related data for food safety compliance. - Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including managing inventory and ordering as needed.
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, reach with arms and hands, stop, kneel, crouch and crawl; regularly required to sit; must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; wet and/or humid conditions; high or low precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. Noise level is loud and hearing protection is required at all times while in the production area.
