Work Schedule: 1:00 PM Start Time
This position involves product merchandising within large volume stores, including grocery stores. Key responsibilities include stocking shelves, rotating products, setting up attractive displays, organizing items in coolers and storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. You will work closely with store personnel to ensure the store is well stocked and organized.
This is a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to lift, load, push, and pull cases weighing between 20-45 pounds, along with bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising. This job follows a consistent schedule with designated start times and accounts, with potential for varied schedules over time.
PRIMARYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays in assigned accounts.
- Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf to ensure freshness.
- Transport products between the backroom and shelf locations efficiently.
- Utilize equipment such as U Boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks for transporting products.
- Display promotional materials, such as signs and banners, effectively in accounts.
- Maintain an organized and neat backroom stock area.
- Report store issues to managers and Pepsi management promptly.
- Build strong customer relationships at the store level.
- Follow operational procedures, including scan‑in/scan‑out processes and designated routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to customer needs and building rapport.
- Operate with minimal supervision in a self‑managed role.
- Use handheld devices to input and write orders accurately.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Pass a physical capabilities test, if applicable.
- Must have a car or personal transportation to access multiple store locations within assigned shifts.
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Provide proof of insurance.
- Experience working in a retail or grocery store environment, with an understanding of store operations.
- Skills in safely moving products within a store, utilizing equipment like a U-Boat or hand truck.
- Experience in product merchandising, including filling and rotating shelves and maintaining product appearance.
- Ability to manage backroom inventory effectively.
- Customer service experience, particularly in handling requests and resolving complaints.
This position may involve the use of a personal vehicle for a sales route, with mileage reimbursement provided.
