Maintenance Technician III - HVAC/R
Maintenance Technician III - HVAC/R is responsible for performing general facility maintenance with a primary focus on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that support Beck Suppliers' facilities and Friend Ship store locations. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation support across store equipment, building systems, and related facility needs to help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient store operations.
This role supports day-to-day operations by responding to maintenance needs, completing assigned work orders, maintaining HVAC/R and facility equipment, and coordinating with supervisors, store personnel, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record compliant with Beck Suppliers' insurance requirements
- Five years of commercial HVAC/R troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience, preferably in convenience store, retail, commercial, or multi-site facility environments
- Three years of general facility maintenance experience, including preventive maintenance, electrical, plumbing, store equipment, and building repairs
- EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
- Experience processing and documenting work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Professional communication skills when interacting with supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and store personnel.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including managing multiple assignments and meeting established deadlines.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and adherence to established procedures and safety requirements.
Physical Demands and Environmental Condition
This position requires the ability to perform a range of physical tasks in varied environments. Physical demands include:
Frequent
- Walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and balancing.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment up to 90 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands for operating tools, equipment, and controls.
- Communicating verbally with vendors, contractors, and team members.
Work Environment
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures and varying weather conditions.
