Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fresno, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a detail-oriented approach to handling complex financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and execute month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded properly.

- Prepare and post journal entries, verifying accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and external statements.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.

- Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.

- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
