Senior Accountant

Famous Software specializes in the development, support, and sale of fully integrated accounting and business management software solutions for the produce industry. Our customers include fresh produce growers, packers, and shippers across the United States and Canada.

At Famous Software, the Senior Accountant is a critical operational role. We are seeking an experienced and motivated accounting professional to support the company’s financial operations and reporting functions. This position offers growth opportunities for the right individual.

The position reports directly to the Controller and provides financial support and insight to company leadership as needed.

• Manage and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Support audit activities and provide required documentation
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with Famous Software a plus)

At this time, Famous Software does not offer relocation packages. Additionally, remote work is not an option for this position.
