Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their client’s finance team in California. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented and motivated professional who is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to a company’s financial success.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist in month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Review and process invoices, expense reports, and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, etc.).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA designation is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
BenefitsCompetitive salary with a pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
Additional DetailsApplicants are expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Candidates without this qualification will not be considered.
