We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Consulting Construction Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in construction accounting to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, and manage work-in-progress (WIP) reports to monitor project costs and profitability.
  • Utilize Vista ERP and Viewpoint Vista to manage and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create and manage complex financial models and reports.
  • Oversee general ledger functions and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment.
  • Track budgets, manage job cost reporting, and perform cost tracking to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate reflection of company financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in cost analysis, WIP, Vista ERP, Viewpoint Vista, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of general ledger functions, account reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end close, accounts payable and receivable.
  • Experience with budget tracking, job cost reporting, and cost tracking.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and its unique financial challenges and requirements.
  • Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
