We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Consulting Construction Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in construction accounting to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough cost analysis, and manage work-in-progress (WIP) reports to monitor project costs and profitability.Utilize Vista ERP and Viewpoint Vista to manage and maintain accurate financial records.Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create and manage complex financial models and reports.Oversee general ledger functions and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment.Track budgets, manage job cost reporting, and perform cost tracking to ensure financial efficiency.Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate reflection of company financial transactions.Collaborate with team members and other departments, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.QualificationsA minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field.Proficiency in cost analysis, WIP, Vista ERP, Viewpoint Vista, and Microsoft Excel.Solid knowledge of general ledger functions, account reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end close, accounts payable and receivable.Experience with budget tracking, job cost reporting, and cost tracking.Familiarity with the construction industry and its unique financial challenges and requirements.Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently.Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Punctuality and reliability, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results.Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.Experience with account reconciliation and forecasting to…
