Jr. Accountant – Construction

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant to join our construction finance team. This entry-level position supports accounting operations by managing project costs, processing invoices, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

• Assist in recording and reconciling construction project costs and expenses
• Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments accurately and on time
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit readiness
• Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and cost variances
• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industries
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and construction financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Quick Books or Sage 300 is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
