The Staff Accountant supports the accounting team by performing core accounting functions including journal entries, bank reconciliations, accruals, payroll postings and month-end close activities. This role works closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine and recurring journal entries
• Prepare and support monthly accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliation
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Maintain organized and auditable work papers
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, assuring deadlines are met
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or operational environment preferred)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Syspro, Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Syspro ERP system
• Experience in month-end close and financial reporting
• Experience with Bank Reconciliation
