Staff Accountant

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their client's finance team in California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated professional who is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to a company's financial success. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining financial records and reports in accordance with GAAP, performing monthly account reconciliations and assisting in month-end and year-end close processes, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reviewing and processing invoices, expense reports, and journal entries, maintaining general ledger and chart of accounts, assisting with internal and external audits, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, high attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA designation, experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.

Required work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Benefits include a competitive salary with a pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year. Additional details include that applicants are expected to hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Candidates without this qualification will not be considered.
