A well-established agricultural distribution company serving growers and food production partners throughout California is adding a key member to its accounting team. With a reputation built on long-term relationships, operational excellence, and steady growth, the organization has become a trusted partner across the Central Valley. This position plays an important role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting leadership with meaningful reporting, and helping guide business decisions.

This role exists due to continued business growth and increased reporting needs across multiple operating units. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of month-end activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger integrity while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Analyze general ledger activity, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

• Partner with department leaders to provide reporting, budgeting support, and operational analysis.

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities while assisting with audit and compliance requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Agricultural, manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience is preferred.
