    Position Description Job Purpose

    The Risk Management Intern will work collaboratively with our team and gain exposure to key aspects of our Risk Management department. This role provides insight into day‑to‑day responsibilities of the department, including construction contract review, insurance compliance, and claims processes, while assisting with administrative and data management tasks. The internship is designed to provide hands‑on learning within a construction‑focused risk environment under the guidance of experienced professionals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential duties and other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Risk Management Exposure and Learning
  • Develop a foundational understanding of construction contract terms and risk provisions.
  • Shadow Risk Management team members to gain exposure to insurance, claims processes, and contract review procedures.
  • Attend at least one bid preparation to observe risk evaluation during project estimating.
  • Participate in a jobsite visit (as available) to observe field risk management practices.
  • Operational & Administrative Support
  • Maintain and update risk management files and data within SharePoint.
  • Support subcontractor insurance compliance tracking and documentation review.
  • Assist with tracking and organizing risk‑related documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with Company policies, ethical standards, and business practices, and exercise discretion when viewing sensitive or confidential information.
  • Complete additional assignments and special projects as requested.

    Required Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat (PDF Editing)
